Kyle has experience in various aspects of patent & trademark law, including development and evaluation of portfolios, prosecution of patent applications and trademark applications before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), post-grant challenges to issued patents in front of the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), high-stakes infringement litigation, and opinions on validity and infringement. His technological background includes robotics, control systems, network architectures, sensors, computer software, telecommunications, signal processing, encryption, optics, data compression, circuit design, renewable energy, MEMS systems, fluidic devices, medical devices, consumer electronics, predictive mathematical models, complex mechanical devices, and manufactured products. Kyle has also assisted trademark clients in clothing, food & beverage, medical service, transportation, and other industries. Prior to his current position, Kyle served as a patent agent and patent counsel at a premier technology law firm, as a patent examiner at the USPTO, as an engineer at the Robot Systems Technology Branch of NASA’s Johnson Space Center, and as a researcher in micro-cooling and fiber optic technologies.
